At 31.3.2023, i called the O2 Customer Service to extend one of my Sim-card. At that time, a man from the Customer Service said that for next 2 years i will only get one promotion which is called Kombi-Vorteil. So my monthly fees for that Sim-card will be 19.99€ a month. I also asked the question that can i still get the another promotion which is called Tarifrabatt-wegen-Hardwarekauf that i got now and he said no. When I also asked him again if i buy new phone can i get again that promotion for that Sim-card, he checked for me and reply me no. So i told him i will extend the contract like this old tariff and he sent me some confirmation e-mail. He also called me 3 more times with no caller ID and tell me to extend now. If not, he is not sure that i will get the same promotion starting from the April. Today i got the Rechnungdetails for March, i saw that i lost one of my promotion which is called Tarifrabbat-wegen-Hardwarekauf starting from April. At the day he did not mentioned to me, if i extend now i will lose that promotion which i got up to 30.6.2023. I feel so miserable for losing that promotion and sad because of a man from the customer service whom i talked with was not honest with me. If i knew from the beginning, i will wait the extend process till the promotion is finished. And let the extending process automatically. Can i still to reclaim back my promotion or not. Or do i need to buy a new phone to get back that promotion. If i couldn’t get back that promotion , i am so sure that i will use that sim card only the end of current contract and no more extending. Please let me know, can i reclaim back my promotion or not. Hope someone can give me a solution.

When you renew a contract, all previously agreed discounts are cancelled and only the newt discounts are valid. You now only get the 50% combination discount. In addition, combinations of hardware and combination benefits are not possible for contract extensions. Your 14-day cancellation period has already expired, so you can no longer cancel the contract extension. 😕

We cannot restore the old hardware discount, which would originally have continued for another quarter of a year. With such discounts, it is best to wait until shortly before the end of the contract term or even until the minimum contract term has expired, because then the contract is only renewed monthly and you can see what is offered without loosing a good benefit. In your case, the hardware discount would have expired after the minimum contract period and the contract would have continued with only the 50% combination discount, which would have been the same price as you are paying now and you could have continued to cancel on a monthly basis. 😕
