I changed my sim to an eSIM (on my iPhone) and now the voicemail notification (red dot) is constantly on. I check the o2 voicemail and I have no messages. How can I resolve this?

thanks

With prepaid plans, there's no workaround except for a new eSIM profile. But even with a new eSIM, the red dot might still appear.

Good morning @Rowcat92 🙂

Thank you for contacting us about the red dot. Welcome to our community.

Unfortunately, we don't currently have a solution for prepaid customers, but you could try creating a new eSIM profile. We can't say in advance whether this will make a difference for you 🤔

Hello @Baris0634,

welcome to our o2 Community 😀

Have you tried disabling Live Voicemail in your phone app settings to see if the notification disappears?

Please let us know if this was helpful.

Best regards

Giulia

Hi Giulia,

Yes i tried it. Nothing changes. Could O2 stop sending voicemail? O2 shop could not solve the problem also

Again, there is no workaround for prepaid customers.

Hello @Baris0634, as of now we do net have a silver bullet to end the notifications as workarounds center on activating voicemail which is not available for prepaid.

Maybe this could be a workaround: iPhone: Anbieter-Voicemail verschwindet nicht | O₂ Community

Settings → Apple Account (at the very top with the profile picture) → iCloud → “See All” → Phone & FaceTime (turn off / set the green slider to gray)

Settings → Apps → Phone → Notifications → Allow Notifications (turn off / set the green slider to gray)

Restart your phone…

And there you have it… the red dot is gone.

Best Regards,

Gerrit
