You will need the deregisration certificate though and proof of your residence abroad. Flight tickets are not proof.

What are the devices? Phones? The contracts for smartphones cannot be terminated or transferred as you have purchased them. You will either need to continue paying the monthly installments or pay them off completely.

To transfer the second SIM to another person you need to instigate a Vertragsinhaberwechsel via the customer portal.

Thank you for the reply, yes I’ll get the deregistration done and I have proof of residence of my home land.
yes both are smartphones, so if I cannot transfer them can I pay off one completely and then continue paying one every month ?

Hi @Zipfaxhip , welcome to our community and thank you for asking here 🌸

Concerning the extraordinary cancellation bs0 has already informed you pretty well 😊 further instructions and links can be found in our FAQ on the topic:

The second mobile contract can easily be transferred in Mein o2. In fact, bs0 has written a pretty helpful FAQ on this, which you can find here:

The device you don’t want to continue paying can be paid off early. Find out how it works exactly here:

As for the other device, it will have to remain in your name, as it is not possible to transfer contracts for myHandy instalment plans. However, it is possible to provide different bank details so that someone else can continue to pay for the mobile phone after you leave Germany. You can do this using this form: Änderung Bankverbindung

You won’t need to send it in as a letter, you can use our contact form instead 🙂

Kind regards, Rebecca
