I recently upgraded and assumed my old contract would be terminated as this is what an upgrade is (I only have 2 months left on the other contract)

Hello @KBoo , welcome to our o2 community. 😀 You have two mobile phone contracts with us. The contract with the final number -430 has been extended and the other one has been running since 2022. You also have two hardware contracts. You are still paying for the iphone 12 until January 2024 (then 24 months over) and the iphone 14 from September 2023 until 2026.
