Understanding invoices for a device with contract

Hello everyone.

I'm planning to buy an iPhone 17 with a contract in Germany. My question is, will I get two separate invoices, each for tariff plan and hardware, or a combined one?

Some of my colleagues are getting combined one and some are getting separate ones.

Lösung von Bumer

You are entering into two contracts: one installment contract for the iPhone and another for the mobile phone contract.

Agreed, but is there any possibility of getting one single or a consolidated invoice for this? I understand that people would receive combined invoices till some time, and now are getting separate invoices.

You will receive one bill for the iPhone and a monthly bill for your mobile phone contract.

Thanks. Understood. Any possibility of getting a page in invoice with both the amounts totalled up?

Thanks. I still wonder how my friends are receiving combined invoices even today!

Hello @vivor,

welcome to our o2 Community 😀

We offer our smartphones exclusively for purchase (usually in installments). Mobile phone contracts, on the other hand, are service contracts.

Therefore, a separate invoice must be issued for them.

Other providers offer different payment models or rental devices, which are then billed together with the mobile phone contract. However, this is not possible with o2.

The monthly costs and the invoices for both can be viewed under a single login on Mein o2.

Best regards

Giulia

@o2_Giulia Thanks for the response. Is there any way through which I can get both charges under same invoice? I've seen my colleagues having these charges under same invoice, despite the charges being mentioned separately. All I want is, for example, I'm paying EUR 60 a month, and my invoice should show EUR 60.

Moreover, if it is possible, can you please share a sample of the invoices?

No, as written, that's not possible.

I'm asking about the monthly charge statement or invoice and their samples.

If your colleagues have charges for the phone and the mobile contract on one invoice then they did not buy the phone from o2 directly. It is impossible to receive a monthly invoice including the phone installment because you have an invoice for the full amount and a payment plan. The phone is not billed monthly.

There is a sample invoice here: https://www.o2online.de/service/rechnung-zahlung/#/flow/musterrechnung

Many thanks. Yes, they've booked through MediaMarkt and other such places.

The invoice you've shared is clear. It doesn't anywhere state the charges / instalment for the hardware itself.

One more thing. The sample invoice speaks only of tariff charges and not of any hardware instalments. How does that part gets handled?

As already explained, the invoice is only for the mobile plan / tariff. For the hardware you should have received or will receive a separate invoice for the total amount. The installments are then debited from your account every month. In the app and in the customer portal you should see an overview of the monthly installments paid and still due.

Hello @vivor,
thank you for your enquiry. Everything has already been explained very clearly here, but here is a summary. You will receive a monthly bill for your mobile phone contract. For the mobile phone, you will receive a one-off bill and an instalment plan. This shows the individual instalments and their respective due dates. The instalments are then automatically deducted from your bank account.
Kind regards, Bianca
