travelling to the UK

Hi, I will be visiting the UK in 2 weeks. I have o2 My Prepain L. Could you tell me if i will be able to use my data there or is there a package i can get to use in the UK? Thanks

Hello @Waynos,

note: For Great Britain, despite leaving the EU until December 31, 2021, only the price according to Zone 1 (EU regulated) will still be billed (subject to extension) :nerd:
You can find this information here: Click (German language only).
So you can use your data in GB as well.

If I understand the EU regulation correctly it was der discussion wether the regulation for GB is going to be extended. Unfortunately I can’t find any indication if that happened or not. Can I still use my Data plan under EU conditions in GB, or do I have to pay Roaming, if I start traveling on July 01st, 2023?

welcome to our o2 Community 😊

Since Great Britain is no longer part of the EU, the country officially dropped out of the EU zone on January 1st, 2021 with regard to roaming and telephony/SMS abroad and was therefore assigned to zone 2. We also show this in the "My o2" app.

Nevertheless, o2 has decided not to increase the price for customers for the time being. Great Britain will continue to be billed according to EU conditions until December 31, 2023.

We wish you a good trip in July.

thanks a lot for your answer, but unfortunately it doesn’t answer my question. Might be that I have asked it the wrong way.

Does that mean that I can use my data plan and the included phone condition in GB the same way like I can use it in the rest of EU without any roaming cost.

Just want to be certain.

Ja, du kannst bis Ende Dezember 2023 die Konditionen deines Vertrages auch in GB nutzen
