Terrible Internet Speeds - LTE/5G Unlimited Max

I have the above contract - 5G/LTE Unlimited Max. I just moved into another city (quite a major city) and I live almost in downtown, however, I’m getting very bad internet speeds. What could this be attributed to? I’m attaching speed tests I’ve ran.

Which zip code is this?

Keep in mind that this a mobile contract; you can use it in the entirety of Germany and even in the EU. Thus, you won’t get compensated for slow speeds in a particular place unless it has worsened since the start of the contract.

I am in Frankfurt this afternoon and this is what I’m getting on LTE. This is really unacceptable. And no one from o2 is giving any response.

I regret that you are not happy with the LTE-connection. Did you already check our Livecheck online? Do you see there any malfunctions?

 

If not, please click on “Ich stimme nicht zu” after you have entered a complete address where the connection is poor. Our technicians will check it out for you and will send you a reply by SMS.

I have just checked, there is no problem on the network. As you can see by the screenshots sent I have LTE signal, but poor poor data connection, and it doesn't matter where I am. My last post was at Frankfurt not far from the HBf. Other ones are in my home at 35390 right in the city centre. I don't know why there is this problem all of a sudden. Matter of fact, early this afternoon, there was LTE signal alright, but no connection at all - not even iMessages could be sent.

that´s really strange. 

 

Did you already test the sim-card in another device?

Please change also the connection from LTE to 3G and back again. Is there any improvement with 3G?

I completely reset my phone today - no marked improvement even after that.
 

I can’t select 3G - iPhone 12 Pro. I’ve switched between 5G/LTE though - nothing. I don’t really know what this is - hopefully something magical happens 😏

please test the SIM card in another phone, as @o2_Tobias suggested above. How is the connection then?

@o2_Andrea at the moment I can’t test with another device, as I live alone and have only one sim-capable device. I’ll see if I can  purchase another device to test. But, I doubt it’s the device rather than the network. The other day I was in Reiskirchen and I couldn’t believe the speeds I was getting (screenshots attached). I’ve gotten similar speeds, or close to that in other parts of Gießen. I live on Alicenstraße, which is almost in downtown Gießen. You know my address - let’s not rule out congestion on your system here or a fault nearby. People might not report it, because it’s difficult to see when you’re home, especially in this period, and using WiFi all the time. I only moved here recently and don’t have my home WiFi installed yet so I rely on my mobile connection that’s why I could probably tell. Please check your system on Alicenstraße. Thanks.

the address mentioned in Gießen is free of disturbances. Did you already get your DSL connection moved and installed, so you can work properly?

Hi @o2_Matze it has gotten even worse. Without WiFi I cannot use the internet at all. This is unacceptable by all standards. I’m paying for this service and there is no way this should be so. See the screenshots below.

I just had a look. As you can also see online at Livecheck we still work on some base-stations near your contact-address.
