tariff change

2 days ago i signed a contract for phone and a sim card,

I do not have internet at my home so i got the unlimted 500 MBs internet ,

Having 5g constantly on is draining the battery and i would like to get a 5g home wifi instead and change my tariff to something less ,

Is that possible ?

Hello @A.deeb,

welcome to our o2 community 😊 and thank you for contacting us here with your request.

I have just checked your contract and noticed that you have concluded the contract in one of our o2 shops. Unfortunately, there is no right of withdrawal for contracts that are concluded in retail. You would have to contact the shop again in this regard in order to adjust your contracts according to your wishes.

Depending on which smartphone you use, you can either switch off the 5G or switch to the energy-saving mode if the phone is not used.

Best regards

Giulia

That is absolutely WRONG!

You should check your own service page!

O2 My Handy Vertrag widerrufen

@A.deeb :

If the 14-day period has not yet expired, you can very likely revoke the o2 my Handy contract and the o2 mobile phone contract. Go to the o2 shop and simply cancel. Take a witness with you.

If the shop refuses, go to a Verbraucherzentrale and get help there.

@tearsbeforecrying

Thank you very much for you help , it was much needed since my german is not that good to have found it alone. I did call costumer service and they have told me that i should be able to cancel the phone contract alone and issued me a new lower tariff contract with also a homespot internet for even less money than the first sim card alone.

Thankfully It has only been 3 days so i will go the shop tomorrow and hopefully solve the problem.

I wish you a pleasent day

You should/must revoke both (smartphone + tariff).

The reason is that your plan is very new and you cannot switch to another yet. In addition, your contract will also be more expensive because you would lose a discount by returning the phone.

If your reception in the apartment is bad, then the reception with the Homespot (o2 my Home LTE) will be bad too.

If you have the possibility to order DSL / cable internet and you have no problems with your mobile phone outside the apartment, then you can do following:
You can also use your tariff/mobile phone to make calls via WLAN (VoWifi).
