Slow internet roaming

My internet in roaming (italy) is very slow.

The phone can only connect to 2g lines, but never to 3g/4g lines. Neither when trying manually. The settinhs are all correct, and the APN have been reset or set manually several times unsuccessfully. If I move my SIM to another phone,  the same problem occurs. My wife has O2 and she does not have slow connection, but normal 3g/4g. If i move her sim on my phone she gets 3g/4g (so, it's not a phone issue).

 

I have 20gb data and only 2 used so far.

I called the Hotline and there is no blocks set on my card. We tried to restert the sim card but this does not work.

 

What to do now? Please help.

welcome to our English Community. Thanks for your patience. 

Did you already find a solution in the mean-time?

It´s good that you already tested the sim-card of your wife in your device. 

Could you see LTE or 4G on your screen of your phone with your own sim-card? If not, please have a look into the network-connections of your device and check if LTE is activated. Sometimes we click something off without noticing it. :wink:  

Additionally have a look which provider can be seen on your screen. In Italy we only work together with the following providers that offer LTE: 

Telecom Italia (TIM) - GPRS, UMTS, LTE 

WindTre Italy - GPRS, UMTS, LTE 

I hope that these suggestions are already helpful to you.
