sim card offer

Hello,

I am writing to request clarification regarding a phone call I recently received from an O2 representative about a new SIM card and contract offer.

During the initial part of the call, I was told that:

  • If I ordered a new SIM card as part of a special O2 anniversary offer, the new SIM would be free and include 10 GB of data with calls and SMS.
  • My existing contract, which currently costs 20 EUR per month, would be reduced to 10 EUR per month.
  • The total monthly cost for using both SIMs would therefore be 10 EUR, not 20 EUR or 30 EUR.

However, once the call recording began, the explanation changed. It then appeared that:

  • My existing contract would remain at its current price.
  • The new SIM would instead be an additional contract costing 10 EUR per month.
  • This would result in a total monthly charge of approximately 30 EUR.

Because of this inconsistency, I am unsure which version of the offer is accurate.

Could you please confirm in writing:

  1. Whether this offer is legitimate.
  2. The exact monthly cost I would be required to pay in total.
  3. Whether my existing contract would be reduced in price or remain unchanged.
  4. Whether the new SIM is truly free or involves an additional paid contract.

I would appreciate a clear written confirmation of

it as it seem the representative was trying to trick

me.

Hello @Samadkhan ,
welcome to our o2 Community 😀
I am sorry if this has given the wrong impression.
I can see that this was a campaign for a second additional contract.
Unfortunately, I cannot see which tariff was offered to you.
It is not possible that the total costs would fall to EUR 10.
There is no such offer.
An additional 10 EUR is likely here.
This is because with a second contract, you receive a combination discount on the second contract and then only pay half the price for it.
Your existing contract will remain unchanged in any case.
There will be additional costs for a new card.
Kind Regards,
Solveig
