Hi, I have a device with a physical SIM card. Can I activate an eSIM in a new device and use both devices at the same time with the same number? Combine 1 physical SIM card and 1 eSIM card. Thanks

@JoaquinS Yes, the additional eSIM will cost 4,99 € monthly and it is indeed possibel to use internet, make and receive calls and also sent SMS.

But only with one SIM it is possible to receive SMS - which one you can choose and change in your o2 customer account.

Best Regards,

Gerrit

Hello @JoaquinS,

welcome to our o2 Community 🙂

Yes, you can order an eSIM and use it as a second SIM in a second device. Both will receive calls but only one will receive SMS - which one you can choose in your customer account settings for your number.

If this is possible and if there are costs depends on your tarif, which one do you use?

Best Regards,

Gerrit

Thank you for the quick reply. I have the o2 Mobile S Online (2024) plan. So I believe the extra eSIM costs €5/month. Will I be able to use the internet, make and receive calls, and send SMS on both phones, but only receive SMS on one of them?
