sim card and documents not delivered

hi, today it's two weeks since ordering a sim card with a subscription contract.  So far I have not received the letter with the card, and o2 wants me to activate this card.  I received an e-mail confirming the transfer of documents to deutche post

Where did you order your contract? Hotline, Online or via our shop`?

What exactly do you mean by that? Did you also order a hardware which is send via DHL?
