representative lied

In February an O2 representative called me to say I wasn’t using all my data and they suggest I go down to a cheaper plan. Wow, how nice I thought. They said it would be 5 euros cheaper and they just needed a verbal confirmation after they said the same thing in German. Well come to find out it was NOT the same thing in German. They lied and added a whole additional plan to my existing plan. Thankfully O2 canceled the contact but 20 euros was still taken from me. Because that representative lied, I consider this stealing. I want a refund. This is absolutely disgusting business practices. If this is not fixed then when my contract ends I am heavily considering switching providers. I hope O2 will refund me and not take advantage of language differences ever again. Shame

Hello @HannahVIP,

welcome to our o2 community 😀

I'm sorry if the information provided during this call differed from what was subsequently implemented. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

Didn't you receive any documents for the new contract after the call? Generally, the contract could have been easily canceled by submitting a revocation within 14 days.

If you no longer wish to receive calls from our sales team, you can deactivate your consent directly here: https://www.o2.de/meine-daten/datennutzung

Our customer service team has already forwarded your case to the relevant department for review. You will be informed again shortly.

Best regards

Giulia

Hi Guila,

I didn’t know about this additional contract until I received my bill yesterday. I received nothing in the mail. Perhaps an email was sent but I receive so much spam from o2 it’s possible it was lost in the mix. I called O2 today and was told the contact would be cancelled but I would have to go through other channels to get a refund. In what universe would a single person want two phone contacts?! Why would O2 do this?! I want the 20 euros refunded or else I will forever consider this deception and stealing.

There are a lot of people who need and have more than one contract, so that is not at all unusual.

Nobody here can decide about a refund. You will need to wait until the respective department has processed your request and sends you a reply.
