Hi, I have a concern about a cancelation request.
I am using o2 Prepaid S plan and
I am trying to terminate the contract at the end of this month (Nov 30th) as I go back home for good (outside EU).
So I have filled the cancelation form in this (https://info.o2online.de/kuendigung/) and submitted.
Here is email content that I got.

Guten Tag Herr ....,

schade, dass Sie unsere Leistungen nicht mehr nutzen möchten. Woran hat es denn genau gelegen? Was hätten wir besser machen können?

Bitte haben Sie Verständnis, dass längerfristige Anfragen zur Kündigung bei Prepaid-Karten aus technischen Gründen nicht berücksichtigt werden können. Diese Karten werden sofort deaktiviert.

Wünschen Sie die Kündigung Ihrer Karte zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt, melden Sie sich dann bitte erneut. Mit der Kündigung werden alle bestehenden Flatrates abgeschaltet, Ihr Online-Zugang sowie die Genehmigung zum Lastschrifteinzug werden gelöscht. Ein paar Tage später schaltet sich der Anschluss automatisch ab. Ihre Kundendaten werden nach Ablauf der gesetzlichen Aufbewahrungsfrist gelöscht.

Sollten Sie sich zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt erneut für uns entscheiden, sind wir gerne wieder für Sie da.

There are 2 things that I am unsure about :
Google translattion says 
1) "long-term requests to cancel prepaid cards cannot be considered for technical reasons."
2) "If you would like to cancel your card at a specific time, please contact us again."

I do not fully understand what long-term requests are. 
What I can think of is my current prepaid billing cycle will be renewed on the 17th of November but I am trying to terminate my contract on the 30th of November. Of course, I am willing to pay for the next round of 28 days after 17th. This might be what causes inability to process cancellation but I am not sure what they really meant.

For the second sentence, I want to make sure that I cannot claim termination request because of the long-term requests. If not, I want to know what I should do to cancel my prepaid contract. 

If I simply need to wait until Nov. 17th and try again, that would clear up my mind.

Did you specify a particular termination date when you submitted your termination, or did you write "at the earliest possible date"?

"Long-term termination requests for prepaid cards cannot be considered for technical reasons."

This means that, for example, with prepaid plans, you cannot directly specify during termination that you want to terminate in 6 months due to technical constraints.

Thanks for the response.

Yes I have specified the date (Nov 30th, 2023) but it did not seem to work.

I have started this prepaid contract last September but I have changed O2 Prepaid M to O2 Prepaid S plan relatively recent (July 28th, 2023). Maybe that is why my termination request did not succeed? 
If so, how can I terminate my contract?

the problem was only that you had mentioned November 30th.😊

Prepaid cards are usually deactivated 'immediately.'

So, if you want your prepaid plan to end on November 30th, I would recommend sending the termination notice as 'zum nächstmöglichen Kündigungszeitpunkt' by November 29th.

If you no longer need the prepaid phone number, you can send the termination notice today.

I see. The problem was I have chosen “Späteren Kündigungszeitpunkt wählen” instead of “Zum nächstmöglichen Kündigungszeitpunkt'’.

Thanks for your help to clarify that.

I will send a termination on the day I leave from Germany then.
