Qello subscription

Hello,

I’m new in Germany so my dad got me an O2 number I saw an extra charge of 7.99 for “added services”  but I haven’t subscribed to anything. I later found out it was for Qello music streaming. I didn’t even know what that was 1 hour ago. The deduction has been going on for two months and I don’t even have the Qello app on my phone.
I have been able to cancel it but how do I get a refund ?

Thank you.

Are there third-party charges on your mobile phone bill that you can't explain?

In such cases, check the details on your bill. If others also use your smartphone or tablet, ask around to see if anyone can identify the charge or the provider.

If you still don't know why you're being charged for a third-party service and believe the charge is unjustified, proceed as follows:

First, contact your mobile provider immediately to clarify the situation and submit a reasoned dispute regarding the charge. The mobile provider can, among other things, check whether a warranty claim applies.

You should also immediately explain your reasoned objections to the third-party provider.

If you're being charged for a subscription, you can prevent future charges by canceling the service.

If you have a direct debit authorization, check whether you can revoke the charge and re-authorize it after deducting the disputed charge. If you pay your mobile phone bill by bank transfer, you can review it and decide whether you want to make a corresponding reduction.

Alternatively, you can file a complaint with the Federal Network Agency. For questions or complaints, please contact us using our complaint form.
