Porting o2 Prepaid to o2 Postpaid


Hello, I have a prepaid number and have just bought a postpaid plan, I want to keep my old number. Can you please help me?  thanks

welcome to our English Community. Nice to meet you here. 

@fritz04 already gave you a link where you get some information about the transfer for postpaid-contracts. 

In order to transfer your o2 prepaid-number to your o2 postpaid-contract, you first of all need to release the prepaid number. You can do it yourself with the “Mein o2”-App. This is explained here: 

Please have a look there under the heading “Number transfer to another provider”. 

After you have released the prepaid-number, please use this link: Transfer from o2 Prepaid to o2 Postpaid

When the porting is completely done, you have the possibility to get the remaining amount of your prepaid-card payed out to your personal bank-account

Thank you for the information. Before I do all of that, I received an email of my postpaid order 4 days ago and it said that I would receive a shipping confirmation. I still have not received anything so I am using the prepaid plan for now. How long do I have to wait? Will I receive a physical sim card delivered by a postal service? Thanks

I am sorry to hear that there are delays with sending the SIM card to you. Nevertheless I a msure you will recieve it shortly :-)

The SIM will be sent via postal mail :-)

I cannot access my o2 app it says "data cannot load" and in the website i cannot buy or access anything it says there are "technical problems" what is going on? Plus, i have been waiting for MORE THAN 2 WEEKS for a postpaid service to arrive and it has not arrived yet. What kind of service is this? I cannot study or work you really are doing a terrible job for gods sakes!!!! I am spending all my money in daily credit because you dont send me my new sim!!!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡 Now i cannot even access my o2 due to your technicak problems so i dont have internet what am i supposed to do??!!!!

sorry to hear that your SIM still has not arrived… :-/

I had a look into this, a trouble ticket regarding this has automatically already been raised. As of now I can just ask for some patience :-/

I received the SIM, but I cannot activate it. I already released the prepaid number and read all your guides but dont know what to do. I cant activate the sim replacement in mein o2 app and this link "Transfer from o2 Prepaid to o2 Postpaid" only sends me to my main prepaid homepage

 

Could it be that you confuse prepaid and postpaid?

 

Your screenshot shows a port to prepaid. This is not possible with a postpaid contract!

Hello @DIEGO YP,

porting a number from an o2 postpaid contract to o2 prepaid is something that we don’t offer hence the error message you recieve as @Sandroschubert already stated.

After your postpaid SIM card is activated you can transfer the prepaid phone number to the postpaid contract :-)

Hello I am porting also porting from o2 prepay to o2 contract (moving prepay number to contract). I also want to use my prepay also it still has some money on it. Does it get assigned a new number?

in case you just want to keep the prepaid card: after the mobile number porting your prepaid credit balance will be also transfered to your postpaid tariff and the prepaid card will be deaktivated.
