Porting number to Vodafone from prepaid contract

Hi,

I wanted to cancel my current contract and port my number to Vodafone. They said that you would need to release the number 1st. 

 

Please cancel my current contract and release my number and i ll pay the porting fees of 6.65 Euros.

Hi @rkdas,

if you want to speed up the process, you can do it yourself by using the “My o2” App.

The fee is 6,82 EUR. After the portability you can request a refund of your credit: https://static2.o9.de/resource/blob/70982/7b5a4ca797a290f9c788f92838aedb9f/prepaid-guthabenauszahlung-download-data.pdf

So if i put 6.82 euros in my account, it wont get used up in the current contract or try to use that for some other prepaid contract.

 

Do i have to fill that form and email someone?

Hi @rkdas, 

welcome to our English Community. 

It is exactly as @MXP_Alex already explained it to you. 

The first step is to release your number for the transfer to another provider. This can be done by yourself in the “Mein o2”-App. Please make sure that you have 6,82 € as top-up. Please find here the exact explanation of the procedure: 

After the porting has been done, you have the possibility to get the pay-off of the remaining amount with the link that @MXP_Alex already mentioned.

I have done the above steps to release my number and recharged with 10 Euros.

 

Can you confirm that my prepaid contract is cancelled and number is released?
