Port to another provider - Release my phone number and inquiry about charges


Hello,

I would like to transfer my current mobile phone number(o2) to another service provider. How could I request this? I have a prepaid SIM card.

Once you have provided the opt-in it will it be confirmed??? can I sign up with my other mobile provider? Do I need to maintain a balance of more than 6,82 EUR for the portability and will the fee will be charged? And how can I get back my leftover money in my bank account?

Hello @Gauravj07,

I see that your number has already been approved for porting. The current release is valid until 29.12.2021. If you want to port your number after this date, you would have to release it again. But as it is, it is free for porting. You can now order the porting with your new provider.
A porting fee is not due. This has been an innovation since a few days.
If you would like to have the remaining balance on your card paid out, you can apply for a credit payout using this form:

Please note: after the credit has been paid out, your prepaid card will be deactivated and can no longer be used!

Thankyou so much for briefing me with the update. I have informed my new provider to initiate the port.

Can you please tell me, when and how much will the porting fee be deducted ???

Also, regarding the remaining balance, after filling the form, where do I have to send it in order to receive my remaining balance.(do you have any particular email ID??

I have recharged my o2 Prepaid sim card 017XXXX60 with 2 euros,

and the money has been debited from my account but not credited yet on my o2 account.

 

Please check the details as I want to port my sim card to another service provider.

First of all, I would like to ask you not to open several messages for the same topic. You find now all messages in this thread. 

As @o2_Jessica already told you, we do not charge you for the porting of your current number to another provider. The reason are the new EECC-regulations that are valid starting 1st December 2021. 

So, you can just advise your new provider with the porting that is free of charge. Please see here also some instructions concerning this subject: 

The missing top-up of 2 € came today. So, everything is fine.

Now, Can you please tell me, how can i transfer my remaining balance(o2) to my bank

 account after the port is done, i received a pdf that i can fill, but where should i send the document (any mail id) and how many days will it take ???

oh, sorry, I forgot to mention that point. 

Please fill out this form: transfer remaining amount to your bank-account and send it to the following address: 

Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG

o2 Prepaid-Kundenbetreuung

90345 Nürnberg

It can take up to 6 weeks until you have your remaining amount on your personal bank-account.

Hello O2 team,

I would like to port my O2 prepaid S phone number to another provider. 
I went to O2 shop and asked them about the process that I should do for porting my phone number, and they said that because I had a prepaid phone number, I do not need to do anything special with O2 team. They said that my phone number is now released and can be ported. 

However, when I requested for the porting of my phone number, I received this message: You have not yet deposited a porting declaration (opt-in) with O2. 

How should I pay the money? Could you please guide me?

As far as I understood, the form that was posted by @o2_Jessica is about paying back the remaining balance on my o2 account. However, this is not a prerequisite for porting my phone number to another provider.

the message I have received from my new provider is about depositing money ( their message: Bitte wenden Sie sich zur Hinterlegung der Portierungserklärung (Opt-In) an Ihren bisherigen Dienste-Anbieter.)

Would you please clarify this issue for me? How can I deposit the porting declaration (opt-in)?

You can release your number for porting yourself under My o2. You can find all the information about this under the following link:

As soon as your number is released, you can apply for porting to a new provider.
