Port to 02

Hello,

There was a offer I took from O2, where I have to pay 39.99 euros one time and 19.99 every month for 100 GBs.

When I ordered the sim, I opted for the option where O2 will give kundigung to my previous network provider, as I wanted. to port the number to O2.

I got the sim, and when I activated the sim, they gave me a new number, I dont want new number instead I want to use the old number, what should I do in this case?

Regards,

Deepak

Hello @deepakrajpal27,

If you have already requested number portability, it will normally start one day after activation. Depending on the cancellation period with your old provider, the phone number will then be transferred to us. Until then, you will receive a temporary, different number. You will be informed of all the steps via text message.

How long has it been since you activated it? Has your old contract already ended or can you still be reached via your old provider?

Best regards

Giulia

Hello @o2_Giulia,

When taking the deal from O2, I opted for the option where O2 can talk to my previous provider for number portability. My question would be, do I need to talk to my previous provider? or O2 will talk to them on my behalf?

And yes I am still reachable on my old provider.

Regards,

Deepak

Hello @deepakrajpal27,

if you are still reachable on your old provider your contract there is still ongoing, as with mobile contact we cannot do a cancellation with an old provider, this possibility is restricted to broadband/landline contracts.

You then have to contact your old provider in order to have your number set free. Then you can order the porting anew.

The best way to order the porting is via your customer portal with us, you can register your temporary number here to access your customer portal: Bei o2 Registrieren und Vorteile nutzen: Jetzt anmelden

Best Regards,

Gerrit
