However, my new service provider sent me the following email.
Sie möchten Ihre Mobilfunk-Nummer 49176xxxxx4 von Ihrem bisherigen Anbieter zu otelo übernehmen. Ihr bisheriger Anbieter hat auf unsere Anfrage geantwortet: fehlende Freigabe zur Rufnummernportierung”

I have now been paying for two phone plans for two months. Please will you release my number for porting, and inform me when you have done so?

When I recieve confirmation from you, I will ask my new provider to request the porting. I have added yet more money to my o2 account, so there is enough for the porting fee.

Your website states that “porting declaration (release of the phone number) is required. You can simply order this via the Mein O2 app or in Mein O2.” I have not been able to find this option within Mein o2. Perhaps you can link it here, so that I don’t have to ask in o2 Community each time the porting fails?

thanks for your request to release your prepaid-number for porting.

 

I regret that until now it did not function well with the porting of your number. I have now released your number for porting. You have also received a SMS-message as confirmation.

 

Please contact now your new provider until 4th August 2020 in order to initiate the transfer of your number to your new provider. We will charge you with the amount of 6,82 €.

 

If you have still a credit after the porting, please fill out this document in order to order the transfer of your credit to your personal bank account: pay-out of prepaid-credit

Why? A bit more information would be helpful.

@Eldho The release for prepaid you can do by yourself in the mein o2 for Android and iOS.

Did you follow the advice and apply for number portability via Mein o2? If so, did everything work out?
