Hello,

I already have an active 2-year O₂ contract with an unlimited plan.

I would like to add an iPhone 17 Pro Max to this existing contract with a 24-month installment plan.

I originally signed my contract on 18.09.2025, and at that time I was told that I could get the iPhone 17 Pro Max with my contract, but it was not available in stock and I had to wait about a month.

Now I see that the device is available again, so I’d like to add it to my current tariff without creating a new contract.

Could you please help me with that?

The iPhone 17 Pro Max is not yet available for purchase without an additional contract. Tip: Order it directly from Apple. They also offer installment payments, and the device is €100 cheaper than at o2.

Good morning @Sardor 😊

Thank you for submitting your question here. Welcome to our community.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max is not currently available to order separately from us. It is only available in combination with a new contract or a contract extension. We cannot say at this time when it will be available without a contract. Would you like to wait or look elsewhere?

I wanted to get this phone with a new contract, but it didn’t work out. On November 1st I received a letter saying that I could get the phone if I paid an upfront fee, but at that time I didn’t have enough money. And when I got my salary and tried to order it again with a new contract, it didn’t work anymore.

I need a second SIM card, that’s why I wanted to get a new contract together with the phone. Maybe the problem is that the salesperson in your store wrote my name incorrectly. My correct name is Sardor, not Sardord.

Hello @Sardor,

please don’t post personal data here as this is a public forum.

I'm sorry your order was declined. Unfortunately, we don’t knw the reasons why.

If your name was misspelled, as you mentioned, did you try ordering with the correct name?

Best regards

Giulia

So can I get this phone with a new contract or not?

Please clarify what the problem is. Literally a week ago I received a message saying that my installment plan was approved, and now you are refusing?

Nothing will be clarified here. If you were rejected, there are reasons for that which cannot be explained here. Please contact the information office in writing.

Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG, Auskunftsstelle, 90345 Nürnberg

In any case, please provide your full address details (including first and last name) and your date of birth.

Then can I cancel my contract with O2 and transfer my number to Vodafone? Because yesterday they checked everything in their office and said they can give me a new contract with a phone without any problems. I just don’t want to deal with O2 letters now and waste time trying to understand why they decided to refuse. Honestly, I thought I could find a solution here.

There are different ways to get a good phone deal from O2 — either with my existing contract or with a new one. There is also the option of making an upfront payment of 200–500€, and I would agree to any of these three options. But I don’t understand why O2 keeps refusing.

Do what I wrote, or cancel and switch to another provider.

Der seit September 2025 bestehende Vertrag wird aber auch bei einer Kündigung bis zum Ende der MVLZ weiterlaufen und entsprechend berechnet werden.

If our credit check keeps refusing ypour orders, @Sardor, here from our community we cannot see the reasons why as due to the security of your data only the colleagues from our responsible department have an insight into them.

Unless it is a contract which is monthly cancellable, your contract from September is running for 24 months.

Best Regards,

Gerrit
