O2 prepaid number transfer to O2 postpaid


Hi! :grinning:

I have just received my postpaid Sim and I think I activated it as I can surf the internet and make calls. But the strange thing is that I didn’t have to show my passport and I just got email with my tariff conditions when I typed my number in the activation form. (Maybe because I ordered the sim using verified postpaid account).

 

Could you please help me to check that my sim is activated and help me transfer my number from Prepaid O2 to Postpaid O2?

As far as I know I need to apply for it using the portal and it is free of charge, but before that you should do something with my postpaid number.

welcome to our community. :blush:

 

Do you use our “Mein o2 App”? Within the app you can transfer your prepaid number to your new postpaid contract.

In the app: Menü → Tarif & SIM → SIM & Vertrag → Rufnummernmitnahme → zu o2

 

If you choose to transfer your number, the prepaid card will be deactivated and you’ll get the remaing credit.

You don’t need to do anything with postpaid number, except start the app and the above mentioned order to transfer your number.

It’s my bad. I meant do I need to do something with my prepaid O2 number before I use the app? I think in german it is Prepaid Nummer Freigeben.

Today I contacted chat support and they told me that I need to make Portierungsfreigabe using hotline for prepaid clients. But I am not sure about my German. :see_no_evil:  

Could you please help me to make Portierungsfreigabe for my O2 Prepaid number to take it to my O2 contract?
