o2 Mitarbeiter-Vorteile

Hi,

I received a contract offer through the o2 Mitarbeiter-Vorteile portal. Shortly after, I received a second email stating the contract terms had been adjusted: a higher one-time fee but lower monthly rate. I accepted the revised offer, completed the online form, and paid the one-time upfront fee. ~230€

After this I received absolutely nothing. No Confirmation no delivery status, nothing.

When I contacted o2 support to ask about the delivery status of my contract and phone, I was told the second order had been rejected due to a credit check despite me having already paid the upfront fee. The agent was unable to tell me the reason for the rejection and escalated it to the credit department for re-evaluation.

I'm a new resident in Germany and my German bank account is newly opened

The monthly cost is only €42/month why do they even need a credit check?

Why haven't they communicated anything just simply took my payment?

I canceled my previous contract and stuck without mobile data, they still haven't sent any email about my order.

Questions regarding your creditworthiness cannot be answered here; please contact the credit information agency directly in writing.

Please contact the following address:

Telefónica Germany GmbH & Co. OHG, Auskunftsstelle, 90345 Nürnberg

In doing so, please be sure to provide your full address details (including first and last name) as well as your date of birth.

A tip: get a prepaid card first.

Seriously? Because you are buying an expensive phone on credit. The credit check is likely to have been for the phone, not the mobile plan, though it could have been for both as you are a new customer.

Normally you would receive an email if the order is cancelled. The amount you paid will be refunded automatically. If just the phone purchase was rejected, you should also cancel the mobile contract if you do not want this on its own.

Hello @Zoleebro ,
welcome to our o2 Community 😀
I’m sorry to hear that the contract didn’t go through.
Unfortunately, we don’t have any insight into the reasons for the rejection.
Bumer has already told you which address to contact.
Please also check again whether it was just the hardware contract that was rejected, or both the hardware and mobile phone contracts.
Kind regards,
Solveig
