Since 18th of November the 4G internet speed for the whole Nortend area of Frankfurt is 0.5mbps… Noone on support line is able to tell what is happening, this is fraud I spedn 75 EUR to test the unlimited 999GB prepaid tariff and for 1 month it worked good, the very moment I subscribed to 50mbps 4G internet the connection become from bad to worse 0.5mbps and in the evening it is 0.02mbps. Checking cell tower analyzer it seems many base towers are offline and I am getting connected somewhere across 5 streets to an overloaded cell tower with very bad reception. This is fraud!!!
Specific area postcode is 60318, since this morning there is no 4G internet at all, my modem is disconnected and not getting connected back.
Hello
welcome to our o2 Community
I'm sorry that there are currently restrictions in this area.
5G is currently being upgraded here.
The work is expected to last until 30.11.2024.
Please be patient.
Thank you very much.
Kind regard, Solveig
Who is about to compensate me for half month not being able to work??? This morning my modem is not even connecting anymore, I use indoors antenna because of your terrible reception in the middle of the city!!! This is not acceptable for an Europe country… On the O2 live checker status is:
Wartungsarbeiten abgeschlossen bis voraussichtlich 11.10.2024
We are 21st of November today. Yesterday on the hotline they told me the maintenance will be over until 22.11.24 and now it turns out it is 30th? At least fix your communication and message and your portal, this is the worst service I have seen in my life travelling all across Europe…
I want compensation for every day not having internet, this is not acceptable!
Is it only me that thinks it is somehow not normal not to have mobile network in the downtown of 3rd largest city in Germany for half month???
Glad to know it is OK to receive worst service in the center of Frankfurt than in in a village in Siberia… Good for your quality… thumbs up...
Check out my Speedtest result! How fast is your internet? https://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/10521160867
Just to compare the internet quality towards the poorest country in EU... Speed for all mobile networks in Bulgaria vary between 500 and 1200 mbps at 5G. You should be ashamed of the service you offer - you have 2 mbps...
Result for: 60318, Nordend, Frankfurt am Main, Hesse
We have carried out maintenance work on a base station in the neighbourhood.
- Activities expected to be completed by 30.11.2024
- Temporary impairments possible until the completion date
At the moment we can only ask for your patience until the technical fault has been rectified
Please excuse the restrictions.
Kind regards
Matze
What do you mean by "restriction" I do not have internet since Monday speed of 0.02mbps is not even enough to open a web page. All base stations in the area except for 1 are not available. As much as I don't want to "spread negative sentiment" are you expecting me not to be able to work for 15 days and be happy about it? I can give you base towers ID in the area that are unavailable... If you ban me this goes first to Federal anti discrimination agency and next to the federal communication comission. I can't imagine operator leaving thousands of users withour mobile service in the EU... Noone even said anything about compensation for this period...

If you violate our netiquette, we may exclude you from using our community.
Noone even said anything about compensation for this period...
The Telecommunications Act does not provide for credits for defects in mobile phone contracts, but you can of course still send us a written enquiry at any time, which our technical department will then decide on afterwards.
Kind regards.
Matze
Are you making fun of me when you say "download restrictions"? The service is unavailable the modem does not connect at all today... What netiquet I violated that I showed you a written proof in Speed test where O2 stands as a provider? We are grown up people that pay for services, which are not delivered, if I haven't been neglected and not properly supported by your english line operators do you think I don't have anything better to do rather than writing in some forums? You are blocking my work for the past 5 days without any normal communication or warning when the downtime starts and ends...
Nobody is forcing you to continually post texts in a forum. If you have a complaint to make then it would make sense to do so directly via the contact form and wait for a response:

It is all in German, please ask someone of the other tens of thousands users in the area to fill it in, probably they are doing it already?

last results 0.79 mbps of download, great welcome to 1996 dial up!
and this is how things should look like… just so you can compare

Thanks for the support in English! My current observations are
18572315 - fast closest cell switches off often at night (electricity problem or other)?
18572291 - night slow 800Mhz cell long coverage - slow and overloaded
20005671 - 2100/2300/2600Mhz cell low coverage - low reception
at the moment all these 3 cells are down, so I am connected to 18586913 (low reception different area) thanks to my indoors antenna that I installed, otherwise I would have no coverage at all like all other customers in the area. This is bad planning to bring so many cell towers at the same time, I know it is cheaper to upgrade these all at once, but also leaving large city area without coverage for 15 days is like “we don't care” in the face of customers. If I were you I would pay attention to the analysis I am doing to your network for free...
Your totally miserable service brings me back to times from the 90’s or comparable to India or Pakistan (my respect for both countries as they are very large). The speedtest is unable even to complete at evenings because the upload/download speed is 0.001mbps. Even if we ignore the poor quality of the service that is unlikely for any other European country I have seen, having no mobile coverage presents serious risk of (God forbid) event like fire/earthquake or other natural disaster people not to receive any SMS through the EU 112 emergency service. I am sorry guys, ban me, insult me, threathen me, but such service is pathetic, and for 7-8 days that you cannot fix it is even more pathetic...

See how it looks like when you have normal ISP, and not even the best one in the area...

Another "great" result with speed…

Try contacting the Network Agency(Bundesnetzagentur).
I have a similar problem with you. Only after I moved, my mobile internet stopped working and the connection also disappeared. The only thing I get is -130dBM.
I also don't receive SMS messages.
I am tryng but the modem has not been moved, they tell me they do maintenance every time since 15th ot Novembera and I see the modem is jumping to a different cell all the time.
I don't know what to say. Because I have a similar problem. I just plan to contact the Network Agency.
Yeah I feel O2 need to have serious government inspection because of the low quality service they provide. We are talking about middle of Frankfurt, this is redicolous. If you can advise me how to complain I would be very grateful. Not to mention I have no plans to pay for 0.05 mbps download speed there is better internet than that in the rainforest! Thanks.

Before that, I recommend measuring the speed through their program(It tells how many days and how to take measurements)

Thank you! I am just downloading the desktop app, it will take some hours though haha...
I wish us luck)
Hello
I can understand that you are angry.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the technical team will manage to get you surfing again without any problems by 30 November 2024
Kind regards, Solveig
