Not possible to receive or send SMS when abroad , zone 3

If the foreign information came, can you receive SMS?

Have you tried selecting a different local provider in the network settings?

Perhaps you can also tell us which country it is, then our users with similar experiences may have a solution.

Hi , thanks for coming back to me,

I am currently in Albania. I changed the carrier, but it did not work - i chose one of the two that are also in the list of O2 for Albania

I did receive a message from O2 when i arrived about the prices of services while in Albania, and my roaming in activated- but even when i tried to activate a one day package through SMS from o2 it did not work out

I am also trying to check if i need to change anything on my  contract, or if i can activate any other roaming package - they are not available from here 

I suspect the issue might be with the albanian numbers - with incoming and outgoing messages from the local numbers, as i did receive an sms from a German mobile

Ah, that's interesting, then messages from Germany are apparently reaching you normally. So it only affects SMS from/to Albania?

Please note that even if you are abroad, you always have to dial the country code , i.e. 00355 for Albania, as if you were in Germany.

Unfortunately, the charges are the same as those from Germany to Albania (i.e. 0.39 EUR per SMS, Telephone: 1,49 EUR/Minute).

thanks for the tip - i have tried to send messages  from the contact list where i have saved numbers with country codes , or directly typing the number with country code 

it remains still a mystery -:)  and as i said, i can not even change/Activate any other roaming world package 

any other ideas that may come to mind would be helpful

did you put the country code to the albanian number you try to send a message to? 

What mobile device do you use so we can check if there is something wrong with the settings?
