Urgent: Early Termination Request Not Processed & Incorrect Monthly Charge

Dear O₂ Customer Support Team,

I hope you are well.

I am writing regarding my mobile contract  for which I have already requested an early termination and agreed to make the one-time payment. However, in my O₂ account the request still appears as “in progress” and has not been completed yet.

Additionally, despite submitting the termination request, I was charged €35 as a monthly fee in the most recent billing cycle. Since I am in the process of contract termination, I kindly request clarification on why this charge has been deducted.

Could you please:

  1. Confirm the status of my early termination request,

  2. Process the termination as agreed, and

  3. Review and refund the €35 charge if it was taken in error?

I would appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter as soon as possible.

This is for a mobile phone you purchased from o2 with payment in installments? When did you request early termination of the payment plan? It takes at least 14 days for this to be actioned as you legally have this long to change your mind and reverse the early termination request. If the request is in progress it will be processed in due course and you will receive notification of when the balance will be debited from your account.

Inquiry About Deduction Date for Contract Termination Payment

I recently requested to terminate my phone contract and pay the remaining device balance in one installment. I was informed that the deduction date would be communicated by letter. Unfortunately, I am currently outside Germany and cannot receive postal mail.

May I kindly ask if there is an alternative way for me to receive the deduction date (for example, by email or through my online account)? It has been around 14 days since my request on November 12th, and I would like to ensure that I do not miss any important information regarding the payment.
