Misleading contract extension after cancellation – want to cancel within 14 days

Hello o2 Community,

I am looking for help regarding a contract issue that occurred after a recent retention call.

I had placed a cancellation request on 9 January 2026, and my existing contract was due to end in February 2026.
Today, I received a call from someone claiming to be from Telefónica / o2 retention team, who offered me a better dealto keep my contract. Based on what was explained verbally during the call, the offer sounded reasonable, and I agreed.

However, immediately after the call, I received a confirmation email with terms that are completely different from what was promised. I also noticed in my o2 app that my contract has already been extended by another 24 months, which was not clearly communicated during the call.

During the conversation, the agent explicitly stated that I could cancel the new contract within 14 days if I was not satisfied. Given that the written contract does not match what was agreed verbally, I feel misled and do not want to continue with this extension.

I would like to:

• Cancel the newly extended contract immediately

• Revert to my original cancellation request (contract ending February 2026), 

Please advise on the correct steps to cancel this contract within the cooling-off period and how to get this resolved as soon as possible.
