Issues with roaming and keep getting hung up on by customer service

I switched to eSim for my german number, and since then roaming does not work in the eurozone, only in Germany. I am still paying for my data, nothing else has changed, I have done all the “fixes” suggested and still nothing.

I called German customer service and have been hung up on repeatedly. I tried to switch from business to personal to get English hotline support and nothing. 

 

I cannot log in when I am in France or Italy because I cannot receive SMS, or calls so then I am totally screwed when I get there for work. Then I come to Germany and try to fix it and get hung up on without any conversation whatsoever. 

This is the worst service ever. And still nothing is fixed. 
What do you suggest I do next?

Have you tried manually selecting the network?

that is not so nice if you on the one hand cannot use your number with us for roaming in France or Italy and on the other have the feeling to not get thgrough and be supported.

The question by Bumer is important, whether when having to use roaming in Italy or France did you try to manually select a network int he roaming settings of your smartphone? And it is possible that you have to try several, up to 10 times before succeeding.

Do you use a Multicard, a second or third SIM card with your number? With a number of providers abroad this can cause issues with roaming.

Yes, I did, I tried all their fixes, restarting, roaming on, APN, all of it. I am clearly blocked everywhere from Germany, but cannot get a hold of someone to fix it. 

No third party.

Yes, already tried all including the network selection. NOTHNG.

So just a catch up, I waited 37 minutes in the phone for them to resolve the issue and they hung up on me….AGAIN. 

I honestly do not understand how they get away with this and there is no way to actually file a complaint so that it is revisited and resolved. It makes me want to change companies but vodafone was no different. 

If anyone can suggest another provider...please do. I think I am about done with this.

did you already try our Customer Chat like Bumer suggested? In most cases you will recieve support there.

Hi, I did, got transferred to the wrong people 4x, finally got someone who thought they could help, but said everything is right in the back end...which of course does not help me. We are trying a new eSim. Let’s see. Thanks for suggestions and support.

you're very welcome. I'm very sorry to read that you've had so much frustration with support and that no solution has been found yet.
Of course, that's not how it should be. It sounds like you've done everything you can to fix the problem. The idea of a new eSIM is definitely
