Is Waipu-TV the same as O2 TV?

Here in Germany the Waipu-Tv icon does not function any more. A Blue Screen tells me to login. I have tried to login. It doesn’t work. I have talked to four different people on your help telephone line. All are non-native English speakers and non-native German speakers. Four times we go through a login process and when nothing works they push me to a different person and the process begins again.

Is there anybody at O2 who can explain this in an educated manner?

If you have subscribed to o2TV and previously received o2TV powered by Waipu, you have likely been switched to the new o2TV (without Waipu). You should have received a letter or email (in German) informing you of this change.

You must now use the new app or cancel o2TV if you are unable to use it.

Hello ​@dogfood,

If you still have the old o2 TV subscription (powered by waipu.tv), you're using a different app than with our new o2 TV.

These are the two apps:

Depending on which option you booked, please try the other app.

Did it always work before?

If it still doesn't work, could you describe the problem in more detail?
