internet verbindung

Hello @tttkkkk ,

I have checked the network stations in your area and there still are performance issues on the two stations that are nearest to you, specially with LTE services 😕 On top of the issues the stations are also somewhat overloaded. Our technical support is still working on a fix. As of now i’m unable to tell you when the issues are supposed to be resolved.

Kind regards, Rebecca

Welcher Router?

You were asked to wait for a moderator, which can take several days. If you can't wait then you will need to contact customer service.

You can check the network restrictions at your own location using the link below. If no restrictions are displayed, then you should report a fault using the LIve Check.

By the way - avoid inquiries here before an o2 employee gets back to you so it doesn't take longer. We are all customers - except the o2_Moderatorname-accounts

Hello @tttkkkk ,

welcome to the o2 Community 💙.

At your address we are currently getting some reports that atleast one of the transmission towers in your area is experiencing higher then usual load, this can have some impact on the performance of your connection. Generally you are mostly supplied by a station that sits to the south of you at Niederrheinstraße / Am Spielberg. It could help your connection if you can situate the HomeSpot at a window that looks out towards the south.

Kind regards, Sven

Hello @tttkkkk 🙂

the net coverage seems okay now.

Do you still have issues with the connection and low bandwith?

Best regards,

Michi

Hi @tttkkkk 🙂

thanks for the speedtest and screenshot. Is the 5G display on your homespot blinking orange or green?

Can you please try to set “nur LTE” in the network menu (Netzwerk)? Does it help to speed up the bandwith?

Best regards,

Michi

Sometimes, however, it goes faster. In any case, it is unstable.

Hi @tttkkkk 🙂

it’s the setup directly in the HomeSpot. You can access the router via browser, just type o2.spot or the IP 192.168.1.1 to get connected with the menu. It should be also working with Safari on the iPad.

Best regards,

Michi

Hi @tttkkkk,

yes, that’s the HomeSpot menu. 🙂👍

Is this the unfolded LTE/5G menu?

Best regards,

Michi

Dear michi

Do you have any information?

Hello @tttkkkk,

thank you for the screenshot. 🙂

Can you please unfold “Netzauswahl”? Is there an option called “Netzmodus” to deactivate 4G/LTE?

Netzauswahl → Netzmodus

if I pay extra, would it be better?

Unfortunately not, it’s a technical issue regarding the 4G/LTE net coverage at the location where you’re using the HomeSpot. 😕

5G is fine, but it seems the HomeSpot will try to connect to 4G/LTE.

Best regards,

Michi
