How to cancel contract after 14 days?

Hi everyone,

I really need advice.

I ordered an O2 eSIM online but missed the confirmation email (because it was in German and I don’t speak German yet).

Since I didn’t receive or activate anything, I thought the order was canceled or didn’t work.

An hour after that, I went to an O2 shop in person and signed up for a contract there, thinking it was my only one. After that, I got some emails from O2, but I assumed they were just about the shop contract. I didn’t check the O2 app at all — until the first bill came — and then I realized I actually have two phone numbers and two contracts!

I tried to cancel everywhere (hotline, chat, email), but they told me nothing can be done after 14 days.

The problem is: I never even installed or activated the eSIM on my phone. I can’t afford to pay for two contracts at the same time.

Is there anything I can still do? Maybe an “außerordentliche Kündigung” (special cancellation) because the eSIM was never activated?

Any help or advice would be super appreciated.

Thanks a lot!

Moin Moin,

14days withdraw are only for contracts are made online, on Phone or at you „home door“.

For contracts made in a shop there is no withdraw.

See https://www.evz.de/en/shopping-internet/online-shopping/right-of-withdrawal.html

And if your online contract is older the 14days there is even no chance to withdraw.

It doesn’t matter that the eSIM has not activated.

Hello @suisuiss_, welcome at our community. Nice to have you here.

I'm sorry that there were any misunderstandings due to the language barrier. Unfortunately, the contracts can no longer be canceled.

You can now terminate them at the end of the term. I'm sorry I can't tell you otherwise.

Kind regards, Ines.
