Hello!

I have 24 month contract plan “O2 Mobile XL (2024)” started in 14.11.2024 with a notice period of 1 month(s) before the end of the minimum contract term.

What are the downgrade options in my case?

On the website, under the “Zur Vertragsverlängerung” sometimes it shows several options to upgrade/downgrade, sometimes options are not loaded at all. It is difficult for me to find time when it properly works, in order to choose right tariff.

How is it possible to downgrade the tariff earlier then after 12 months only, and what will the options in my case?

Thank you!

Hello @Your_e ,
once the 24-month contract period has expired, you will automatically have a monthly cancellation period.
During the current contract period, it is not possible to switch to a flexible tariff.
Kind regards,
Solveig

I would be interested in one of these options: O2 Mobile S  or O2 Mobile M, still haven’t decided yet

Hello @Your_e,

that is great that you want to extend your contract with us 🙂

Not so nice when the website seems to be acting up. Have you tried a different browser for opening it?

If you like we can send you an offer via e-mail, would you likje to receive one for the Mobile S or Mobile M first, as we can send one offer at a time?

Best Regards,

Gerrit

Hi,

Thanks a lot for quick reply. Since I have not decided yet, please send me by email the offer for Mobile M offer first.

In any case, I will write back here if it doesn't fit my needs. Then we can move further from there with next offer.

Thanks

Hello @Your_e ,

Please excuse the long wait.
We are currently very busy over the holidays, which is causing delays.
I have just sent you an offer for the
o2 Mobile M
tariff by email.

The offer is now valid for 8 days.
If you like it, you can accept it directly via the  link in the email.

Best regards,
Maria

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the reply and the offer. Unfortunately I will reject it since it doesn’t suit my current needs.

At the moment I need a package that includes 10-20 GB per month, not more than that. Looks like M size it is too big for me. Most probably I’ll go lower with an o2 Mobile S. Can you please send me the offer for the o2 Mobile S ?

Thanks in advance and sorry for the hassle

P.S.
I will never understand how these offers are working.

First of all in 2026 we still get offers from 2024 (you can see that even the offer name).

Secondly: how it comes that new costumers are getting much lower prices for much bigger plans/tariffs. I assume that retention of the customers is less important than getting new customers. I will never know.
Ignore my 3 cents and frustration. Maybe it is just me

Best regards

Hello @Your_e ,

I am pleased to have sent you a new offer for the o2 Mobile S by email.
The first offer has already been canceled.
The new offer is also valid for 8 days and, if you like it, can be accepted via the link in the email.

The year (2024) behind the tariffs does not refer to an offer from 2024, but to the tariff generation.

Best regards,
Maria

Hello @Your_e ,

A few days have passed now, and I wanted to ask how you decided?
Did you like the new offer?
Have you perhaps already accepted it?

Best regards,
Maria

Hi @o2_Maria,

Apologies for the late answer and thanks again for reaching back with an offer. Unfortunately I had to reject it. The reason behind it is that the new offer has a minimum of 24 months term contract.

I expect some changes in the near feature and would like to have a bit more flexibility. I would like to know if it is possible to get an offer that includes a monthly cancelable plan ?

Thanks
