gestohlene Hardware

Yesterday I got home to find that someone who had stolen the apartment key months earlier had come into the apartment with the key and stolen the PlayStation 5 that I had had for about a week. Is there anything I can do besides reporting it to the police?

Moin Moin,

Change the password for the account!

You could contact the PlayStation support, maybe the could block the ID.

Also you could try to claim on your home contents insurance, though they will probably reject a claim as entry was with a key and you didn't change the lock after the key was stolen.

Now you should urgently have the lock changed.

Is there a hardware store (like Bauhaus, Obi, Toom) in your surrounding? Then go immediately there and buy a new lock. Hint: Get first the older lock out and measure its sizes and put the lock back in the door. Then buy same sized lock. (Make a photo of the outtaken lock with your mobile)

You can change the lock yourself.

Hello @Axi420,

welcome to our o2 Community!

That must have been a very unpleasant surprise, I'm sorry that your PlayStation was stolen.

You should definitely report the incident to the police. It's good that you've already received the advice to have your PlayStation account blocked.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Best regards

Giulia
