Does O2 offer family rate plans for mobile service? ideally with shared data usage pools? I don’t see any option for this on the SIM rates pages.

Edit: Moved to English Community: Mobile - o2_Kurt

Hi @Jaredzimmerman

welcome to our community. :relaxed:

There is a plan called o2 Free S/M/L Boost. Within these tariffs you may use 2 Multicards for sharing the phone flatrate and the data volume and up to 10 data cards for internet usage only. Please be aware that all these plans have a limit of highspeed internet.

The so called unlimited plans (basic, smart and max) don’t have the connect option.

Greetings

Sorry, still a bit unclear, “use 2 multicards” meaning 2 users with separate phone numbers correct? or multiple handsets connected to a single phone line?  Is it possible to set up this account online or do you have to go into a store?

to clarify, or the unlimited accounts there is no option for family accounts, each user must have their own separate account?

Hi @Jaredzimmerman

thanks for your reply.

I will clarify the subject for you. If you order a multicard, you get an additional sim-card with the same mobile phone number. This means, you share your tariff with another person concerning the data-volume.

It is your decision, if this is convenient for your family.

Of course, we offer also our o2 Free Starter Flex-tariff. Just have a look here: o2 Free Starter Flex

If you have different contracts under the same customer number, we offer also a combination-benefit (5€, 10 € or 50%). You are able to get this combination-benefit by extending your contract or by ordering a new contract.

I hope your possibilities are now clearer for you. If you would like to extend your contract or if you would like to get a good offer for a new contract, please let us know. We are happy to help you.

In order to get an overview, you can check here your possibilities for an extension of your contract: prolonging of your contract

Our new tariffs are listed here: New tariffs

Just let us know your decision.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Dear @Jaredzimmerman ,

do you need any further support from us or have your concerns been clarified?

Kind regards,

Andrea

Sorry it’s still unclear. If I go on the site and order 2 SIMs (o2 Free L flex 60) are we able to activate them as a single account with some sort of family billing discount?

if I order them now and have them mailed to us, I assume the billing doesn’t start until we activate them (in about a month when we arrive)?

Hi @Jaredzimmerman

thanks for your request.

If you would like to activate 2 tariffs “o2 Free L Flex” under the same customer number, you have the possibility to get for the second contract a 50%-combination benefit. This means the first tariff “o2 Free L Flex” will be charged with 44,99 € (plus 39,99 € activation fee). The second one will be charged with 22,50 €   44,99 € (plus 39,99 € activation fee).

It is now a little bit too early to order the contracts for you if you arrive in Germany in a month. Just contact us here a week before you arrive in Germany.

Then we will order everything for you.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

edit o2_Tobias: correction of prize

When I add both the cart, it doesn’t apply the discount that you’re referring to, is there some different way sign up that applies the multi-line discount. When you say “same customer number”  you mean account number not phone number? I’m not looking to have two phones associated with one number, rather  2 separate lines on one account.

Hi @Jaredzimmerman

you are right, I just realized that the combination-benefit of 50% is not valid for Flex-tariffs. Sorry for the confusion.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

Hi @Jaredzimmerman

is the offer nonetheless interesting for you?

If you need further support, just let me know.

Loving greetings,

Tobias

I tried signing up with a 2 year contract and still their was no multi-number discount applied to the reoccurring monthly total.

Hi @Jaredzimmerman

thanks for your reply. Nice that you ordered a new contract.

Can you just tell me the tariff-name of your 2 years-plan?

Thanks a lot.

Loving greetings,

Tobias
