Hello @ovau ,
welcome to our o2 Community 😀
Is VisualVoice activated from our side ?
Can you retrieve the messages?
Kind regards,
Solveig

Hello Solveig,

Thanks for the warm welcome! 😊

I’m not sure if VisualVoice is activated on your end. At the moment, I can only retrieve the messages that come directly to my phone. I can’t access any others from o2’s voicemail. I mean, the system says there’s no voice message at all despite the notification on the phone icon…

Best,

O.

Hi @ovau ,

Are you using a prepaid card or a postpaid contract?

Is Visual Voicemail activated on your phone? You can check that by navigating to the phone-App, then choosing Visual Voicemail (or Live Voicemail in some cases).

Kind regards, Rebecca

Best,

Hi @ovau ,

Ah, i see. In that case there’s no way for us to access or reconfigure your mailbox manually 😕

Please use this code to deactivate your mailbox:  ##002#

You enter the code in the call field on your mobile phone and then press the green button as if you wanted to make a call. A text should then be displayed.

Next you can reactivate your mailbox by using this code:  **004*333#

Last step: restart your phone

Kind regards, Rebecca

Hi @o2_Rebecca,

I’ve just tried deactivating and reactivating the mailbox, both with Live Mail turned on and off, and restarted the phone each time. Unfortunately, it didn’t solve the issue.

I’ve also tried turning the line on and off via the Cellular settings. The notification disappears when the line is off, but it comes back immediately once the line is active and has network reception again.

Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Best,
O.

Hi @ovau ,

I was looking for another solution and found this post by Bibi_. She got rid of the dot by switching on Visual Voicemail on her iPhone.

She stopped the notifications by disabling voicemail notifications in the settings.

I hope it’ll help you as well.

Kind regards, Rebecca

Hi @o2_Rebecca,

Thanks for the tip!

Unfortunately, the first option doesn’t work for me, as Live (Visual) Voicemail was already on. I tried the usual on/off and restart cycles too, but no luck.

As for disabling the notification, that feels a bit like sweeping the problem under the carpet 😅 I was hoping for a more permanent solution. I guess I’ll just wait and see if it miraculously fixes itself at some point!

Thanks again for your support 😊

Best,

O.

Hey @ovau ,

It's a shame that Bibi_'s tip didn't help you. I can well understand that you wanted a more permanent solution. Unfortunately, there is currently no other fix for this 😕

I'll keep my fingers crossed that the notifications disappear! If we can help you in the future, please let us know🌻

Kind regards, Rebecca
