eSIM No Service in China - Need help checking Roaming Lock

Forum|alt.badge.img

Hello o2 Team, I am currently in China. My eSIM still has a 1 Euro balance but suddenly shows no service at all. Could you please check if there is an 'Auslandssperre' (Roaming lock) for Weltzone 4 on my account and help me remove it? Thank you.

There are no restrictions—only for World Zone 4.

The balance may be displayed with a delay and has already been used up.

Try using the chat.

Thank you for your reply.

I am currently in China, and my eSIM shows "No Service" completely. Could you please help me check if there is an active roaming lock on my card?

Also, since there might be a delay in the balance display, could you verify if my account still has enough credit? What specific restrictions should I be aware of under "World Zone 4"?

Thank you for your help.

If the issue is indeed due to an insufficient balance, will the eSIM start working automatically right after I top up/recharge it? Do I need to take any additional steps, or will the roaming service restore on its own once the credit is added?

Thanks for the info. Before I top up, could you please confirm if my eSIM is currently showing "No Service" solely due to an insufficient balance?

If I recharge 10 Euros and it still doesn't work, can I get a refund without canceling or deactivating this eSIM card? Please note that I do not have a German bank account for standard prepaid refund

s.

You could try topping up your balance;

I don't know if that is the only issue,

but connecting to the network should technically be possible even without credit

though please note that incoming calls are also subject to charges.

Thank you for your reply.

The main problem right now is that my eSIM shows "No Service" completely and cannot connect or register to any local network at all. Since there is absolutely no signal, receiving incoming calls is currently impossible for me.

Since you mentioned that connecting to the network should technically be possible even without credit, there might be a roaming lock or a technical restriction on my card. Could you please help me check if there is an active roaming block on your end?

Thank you.

There is no roaming block specifically for World Zone 4,

if it worked in other countries, then no roaming block is in place.

Try whether dialing into the network works with a different provider.

Incoming calls do not work without credit.

I really don't know why. There's still a balance in my card, I don't know what happened.

No, there's no signal at all, it's unusable.

...but suddenly shows absolutely no reception anymore.

So, it was working before?
Did you change anything?

The O2 roaming partners are

China Mobile Limited and China Unicom

Try selecting the network manually.

No, I didn't change anything. I saw in the comments section that several people who applied for this card in the China region said it was no longer valid, all around the same time. So I'm afraid to top it up, worried that if I do, I'll lose the money and the card will become unusable.I'm not the only one whose card isn't working.

Hello @luge,

welcome to our o2 Community 🙂

I could take a look, the SIM card of your number has been blocked by our special department, because the legitimation has to be done anew.

Best Regards,

Gerrit
