Data connection problem

Hi - for the past few months my mobile data connection on my phone continually drops. 

I repeatedly have to go to airplane mode and then back to reconnect temporarily. This seems specific to O2 as I have another sim card ont he same phone that works fine.

Hi @alistaircma,

I suppose your phone settings or SIM card are okay, if the bandwith is okay after airplane mode. I think it’s more like a performance issue when many people with cell phones are at the same location so that the bandwith starts dropping. Sometimes it happens, while you moving, that the switch from one to another o2 base station stops and your connection gets stuck - then airplane mode definately helps a lot.

does the connection always drop at your home, a specific location or is it more like random wherever you are?

Did you maybe already check if there are some issues regarding the coverage in our livecheck?

its never at home where i’m on wi-fi - its when I’m out and on mobile data,

its when I have a strong LTE or 4G signal - I quite often see the exclamation mark by the signal, or it just has a full signal  strength sign. so I'm. sure its not about coverage.

so it seems to be specific to my phone settings or SIM card?
