I currently have a prepaid SIM from O2 and I would like to order an iPhone 14 Pro (https://www.o2online.de/e-shop/apple/apple-iphone-14-pro-128gb-dunkellila-details).

My understanding is that I will receive a new SIM card (postpaid) and the phone. This new SIM card will have a new phone number.

My question is can I use my old number on the new postpaid SIM card? If so, how? I don’t want to use the new number because I have given it in a lot of places.

Hello @Onto3880,

welcome to the o2 community and thank you for your contribution. 😊

I'm glad you decided to sign up for a contract with o2.
Of course, you can transfer your prepaid number to your fixed-term contract once you have signed it. The porting is free of charge. Your prepaid card will be deactivated after the porting process. Before porting, you only have to release your prepaid number. You can request this yourself in your My o2 portal or in the app.
You can find a detailed description of the porting process here:

Kind regards
Jessi

Hello @BHAUTIK k.,

welcome to our o2 Community 😀

The easiest way to release your phone number is in the Mein o2 App.

Alternatively, our telephone customer service can release the phone number for you to take to another provider.

Have you already solved your issue or do you need any further help? Then please let us know.

Best regards

Giulia
