Contract Cancellation within 14 Days

Good day everyone, I signed a contract with o2 physically from their store in Frankfurt 7 days ago and got a phone on a 24 month installment plan. A week later i realize that I would have been better of just getting the phone without a sim contract as O2 has better prepaid offers. is there any possibility I can cancel my sim contract and switch to prepaid plans while keeping my handy contract as it is? I know contracts signed physically can not be cancelled within 14 days but I also read that if i get a phone with it, it is possible. Any advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello @Zuhair1125,

welcome to our o2 Community 😀

Unfortunately, there is no right of withdrawal for contracts concluded in stores. Cancellations as a gesture of goodwill can only be made by the store itself. They will decide whether there is a valid reason for cancellation.

I regret that we cannot cancel the contract for you in this case.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Best regards

Giulia

Thank you for your reply @o2_Giulia. Can you tell me one more thing if possible. I have the phone with contract for 24 months but I plan to pay off the phone by march next year. In my contract it is mentioned that I have got a discount of 12 euros on my tariff as In have purchased the hardware but in case i return it the discount will be withdrawn. Can you clear that if pay off the full amount of my phone early, the price of the sim contract will remain the same?

Hello @Zuhair1125,

the 12 EUR hardware benefit remains valid for the full 24 months even after termination of the installment contract. The price will remain the same.

Best regards

Giulia
