Contract Cancellation

I had brought an O2 sim from a store in Hamburg, being a student i very much needed the sim for registrations and job signups. Well due to hard luck there were no prepaid sims hence brought a postpaid one. The sim has the IBAN of my roommate and we’re being unnecessarily being charged with 19.99 Euros a month. Even if the o2 account is blocked by the bank they deduct the amount from some other account. Worst of all the person who sold the sim to us couldn’t speak much English, he said you pay the minimum fee and then its free. Now we have to pay the amount monthly which is costly because we’re students.

That is not so good that you were being told that no prepaid cards were available.

Cancellations can only happen after the duration of a contract, with postpaid it is usually 24 months although monthly contracts are also available.

A revocation is only possible when purchased only or our hotline or chat, but only until 14 days after the purchase.

The contract you signed would have detailed the monthly charge. The statement you pay the monthly charge and then it us free is technically correct. You pay a basic charge and then calls, Internet (up to the agreed volume) and text messages are included.

The contract was concluded on November 6, 2025, and runs for 24 months.
Termination is only possible on November 5, 2027.
We must receive notice of termination by October 5, 2027, at the latest.
This can be done easily via our termination page.
