Changin provide without permission

I recently called O2 regarding my eSIM, and during the conversation, the operator mentioned a family plan offer. He explained that if my family members needed a contract, they could be added to mine with a significant discount. I asked him to send me the details of the offer.

He then requested my family member’s phone number to personalize the offer he wanted to send me. I provided it, but I only checked the offer in my email and did not accept or approve anything.

However, today, my family member received an SMS from O2 stating that their number was being transferred from Telekom to O2—without our permission or consent. This is extremely irresponsible.

  • Is this possible?
  • Has anyone else experienced this issue before?
  • Can O2 transfer a number without the direct permission of my family member?

Has the contract with Telekom been terminated or not? If not canceled, a porting declaration from the family member must be submitted. Questionable: where did the hotliner get the family member’s data?

No its not terminated!!

thats exactly my point

my family member never declare to telekom or O2 that he wants to port his phone number from telekom to o2

and im not undrestanding the meaning of these sms from O2

The operator ask me about my family member phone number on the english hotline phone!

Your family member should ask Telekom how this happened.

The phone number must have been approved by Telekom. Ask there how it went.

the phone number is prepaid simcard and thats i think the reason that O2 could start the transfer procces
and by any means, this was missuse of our information and against our right
and there is no hotline or operator to cancel the process right away because this is weekend!

It doesn't matter whether it's a prepaid card or not. The phone number must be released beforehand. Ask Telekom.
