Check the customer portal to see the specified contract duration; you can change your contract there:

Hello and welcome to our community @nilmsh 🌻 thank you for contacting us here.

Have you already found what you're looking for in the app regarding the contract term? Bumer has given some helpful pointers 🙂

Please bear in mind that your contract has a new runtime should you extend it.

If this is not a problem for you, we can also make you an offer for an extension here. This will be sent to you by email, where you can review and then confirm it, if it suits you. Of course you can also just use the link that Bumer provided, if you prefer.

Please let us know if we can assist you any further.

Kind regards, Rebecca

Ideally, I want a contract where I pay a small basic monthly fee and then buy/charge internet data separately as I need it. Could you please tell me which options you have like this?

If you don't see any affordable options online, it's not possible.

I think a prepaid plan might be what you’re looking for @nilmsh 🤔 It’s not possible to just switch to a prepaid plan from a postpaid plan. The existing postpaid contract will have to be cancelled, afterwards you can port your number to a new prepaid card.

You can check our prepaid tariffs and options here → o2 Prepaid

With these you’re way more flexible when it comes to monthly costs and available data volume, as you can book, switch and cancel options however you like.

Would you still like us to send you an offer for contract extension?

Kind regards, Rebecca

Hello @nilmsh,

you can go via our cancellation form, choose “Postpaid/Festnetz-Vertrag” and then fill in your data and the Kundennummer, which you find above right on your monthly bill.

Then choose like this and add the number of your contract:

Best Regards,

Gerrit

Indeed, @nilmsh, your SIM is then active until March 12 and if you want to take your current phone number with you, you can find more about the process in our article about number porting 🙂

Best Regards,

Gerrit
