Change/extend current contract with a mobile phone


Hello,

I still have 16 months left in my current contract and I am a loyal customer since 2016. I want to order iPhone 12 or 12 Pro.

Can I change/extend my current contract into a new one with the iPhone and start the 24 months of the new contract from now? Is it that possible?

It is too early to extend your mobile contract but you can buy a new phone at any time as it is a separate contract.

Thanks for your quick response.

Can you please make an offer for iPhone 12 or 12 Pro. It doesn’t make sense to make two separate contracts and pay double the price.

Can someone simply tell me if it is possible to upgrade my contract, or is there an offer for iPhone 12 pro? or there is no other options with O2 except having two contracts and paying +80€ a month.

nice to meet you here in our English Community.  Nice that you already like to prolong your contract. 

 

Even if you have still 16 months remaining duration, you have the possibility to prolong your contract and order a new iPhone. 

 

We will check your possibilities that you have. It might be possible to get a hardware-discount, but we will check that for you. 

 

In order to give you a good offer, we still need the following information: 

  • How much data-volume do you need for your tariff? At the moment you have 40 GB. 
  • Please check also your E-Mail-address at “Mein o2” as you will receive an offer by e-mail.

Hi Tobias, 

Thanks for following up on my case. 

I was today at O2 office and it's very sad that apparently I figured out that my contract was changed & also extended last year in July 2020 in a shop that I have never been there or even in that area, I went today but this shop was closed. Also O2 didn't even sent me the change or the extension but now asking me to respect the contract.

This has happened against my will and without my knowledge or permission, between O2 and it's resellers. I am sorry but I have already contacted my lawyer and if this is not resolved I will have to proceed.

All I wanted was a good offer from O2 to buy iPhone 12 pro and extend my contract. It has been two weeks now and this situation I am currently facing is due to a mistake from O2. 

 For the data-volume I need 6GB or max 20GB, when to expect to receive the offer?

I understand that you are disappointed about the extension that was made in July 2020. 

 

But as we now can already extend your contract again, we do not need to become detectives to find out what went wrong. 

 

I just have sent an offer to you by e-mail. 

 

Please be aware of the fact that a downgrade is not yet possible. So the tariff “o2 Free M Boost” is the lowest tariff that I can offer you at the moment. 

 

But nevertheless, I was able to give you a hardware-discount.
