Cancelled contract but still getting charged

I have canceled my O2 contract on time observing the minimum notice period. The contract was canceled but I am still getting charged eventhough I am not using the number/sim anymore. Does anyone here know about how to handle this situation

On what date was the termination confirmed?

on 23-05-2024 I called and cancelled the contract. On the website it also showed cancelled from 13-07-2025

Since invoices are created retroactively, this will be your final invoice.

I would like to welcome you to our community.

It is understandable that you are surprised to receive another bill when your contract has already been deactivated. After termination of the connection, there is always a final bill, which will be this bill.

Could that be the case?

Hi, thank you for your response. I checked on the bill they have charged me the remaining days of contract + additional amount after contract ends do i think this is not the last bill. Total amount is also higher than my regular monthly payment

What does the invoice say about the additional amount?

The amount is devided in two parts 1st is untill my contract date and 2nd is after it ends

I'm afraid it hasn't been canceled at all. It's split because your discount expired at the end of the contract. So, my question again: Do you have a written cancellation date? Does it say something about receipt of cancellation on the last page under "Good to know"?

On the account it says “Ihr Vertrag für die Rufnummer xxxxxxx ist zum 13.07.2025 gekündigt” but on the bill I dont see anything that the contract was terminated. Unfortunately I dont have anything in wrting as I cancelled the contract via call

Do you have a screenshot of that? I don't see anything like that in the invoice.

In your online account / in the app it (still) says “terminated to 13.07.2025”? You should take a screenshot of this. It certainly looks as though the contract has not been terminated.

It is never a good idea to terminate a contract by phone, but if you have a screenshot that will help to resolve this. A moderator can take another look in due course.

This is from the customer portal and not from the bill.😉

I'm waiting here for an o2 employee to take a look at it.

I would have liked to have looked into this in our system, but the information you're logged in with here leads to an account that was already canceled some time ago.

Please contact the hotline. They can retrieve the correct contract and provide you with information.
