I have successfully cancelled my contract early because I moved away from Germany. My contract ended 1st Feb and I received the email saying…

“We will cancel your contract with the number XXXXXXXXXX in advance to February 1, 2020.
For the early cancellation of your contract we will charge you as agreed 53,17 EUR.”

I paid the 53,17 via another bank account cause my German one is now closed. But today I get another invoice for 10,16. What is this for? As I thought the fee of 53,17 was all I needed to pay???

welcome to our community. The cancellation process is done and we received the remaing fee for the early termination. But unfortunately you did not count in the proportional basic charge up to the date of finishing your contract. Your billing cycle always started on the 18th of each month. The fee is charged retroactively so from the 18th January to the 1st of this month  the period of usage has to be paid as well. So the missing amount has to be transfered as soon as possible.

Ok, I have made the payment for the remaining amount of 10,16 euro. Hopefully that sorts the problem.

so if my account is balanced why do I still keep getting a bill for 4 euros every month??? Last month I paid it, thinking surely it wont happen again, but today I get another bill for 4 euros????

thanks for your message concerning the charge of 4 €.

 

As you probably already know the 4 € is the return debit fee as the balancing of your account was too late. In the invoice of each month you can see the latest date of payment.

 

As we received the last amount of 4 € on 28th April (latest payment was due on 30th April), you can be sure that you will not get any invoice anymore.

 

So, everything is fine now.
