Hello,

Well the reason I switched from Vodafone to O2 Wifi is EXACTLY that internet keeps being down every night and I can't continue to study. Then I find the same problem with O2 wifi !!! If every time the Internet is down I switch to mobile data, it will cost me a fortune to finish studying every night, I can't pay wifi and mobile data to cover wifi problems, this is simply unacceptable. Please fix this problem in our region for good, otherwise I will be obliged cancel my contract

Moin Moin,

WiFi is the connection between a WiFi Access Point and a WiFi client.

WiFi a a wireless connection and you do not need Internet for a WiFi connection.

For WiFi is the user responsible. Test the connection to the Internet with a wire, if with a wire connection every thing is ok, you have to check your WLAN configuration.

So is you would like to tell us that the internet connection has a problem then call it like this.

  • What kind of router are you using? Manufacturer and Model/Type.
  • O2 will end the PPPoE session after 24h. Normally the router should reconnect lesser than 5 sec. O2 Routers will do this reconnect in a windows between 2-4 o’clock.
  • If you have problems whit connections lost, what is the DSL/Power LED is doing?
  • Have u call the Support?

If the problem exists with VF than the chance is hi the you have a problem with the physical line…

Yes the problem is with the internet not with the Wifi itself, and it's clear from what you wrote later that you understood what I mean. There's '' No internet Access '', is that clear ? The internet is not working every night for more than just seconds, sometimes few minutes and sometimes hours,  and not only between 2 and 4 am, and this is not acceptable. Also between 2 and 4 am I am mostly still studying.

Since in one of your questions you have asked if I called the support, then I'll call them first.

Hello @Mayyou, welcome to our o2 community :-)

Sorry to hear there seam to be issues with you internet connection.

To look deeper into this, what kind of technology is your internet access using? Is it DSL or Cable? Or maybe Fiber or Mobile?

And to get some help we need some more information like schluej already asked, what kind of router are you using) What barand, what model?

Did you already got in touch with our technical departement?

Regards,
Lars
