I feel every time I call, it’s like I insulted someone from the customer service. First trying to contact the customer service is painful to begin with, because the system they have is so poor. What happened to the simple, press this number to get to this department and and press that number to get to the other department? Man, back where I come from you even get told to press like 9 to switch to English.

Regardless, when trying to contact the customer service, you have 1 in 10 chance to get someone who is actually friendly and wants to help you. 

Today, I waited for over an hour to get in touch with them. Then when I did, the lady told me ‘just a moment’ to check something and then the call got transferred to someone else for some reason. That man was speaking German, but that wasn't even the problem, the problem was that I couldn’t understand a word he said, due to the way he was speaking and poor mic quality, and when I said I don’t understand what’s he saying, he hung up the phone.

Then I tried Live-Chat, some lady answered and told me to end the chat and relog in to the portal, so that she can see my contract info, but I already was logged in. She ended the chat, I relogged in, started a new one, same person again, I wrote that simply need 5 minutes to ask a simple question, she told me the same thing again and ended the chat. And then, when I refreshed the page, there was nowhere Live-chat to be found.

I mean, I’ve been an O2 customer for a little bit over a year, and I called them so many times that I can’t even count.

Even before moving into my new apartment this month, I checked the speed at this address, which was 16 via DSL and 250 via cable. When I contacted O2 to tell them I will be moving to a new apartment, I asked the guy if he can check the DSL speed for my new apartment, he said 50 via DSL. I told him that I also checked and it said max 16mb/s. He said that his system shows 50, I was like, alright then. Guess what, I have 11 download and 0.8 upload now, but I’m paying for 50 tariff.

 

The point is that, it seems that almost no one over there wants to do their job, they get paid either way and don’t get sanctioned when being totally rude to customers.

Now, I’m waiting for my new cable internet next month, it says that it should be activated 1.4. because this DSL one ends on 31. but I didn’t even receive the new router or even have a technician appointment. 

On the website says I have a new order, when I click ‘more info’, I get a message ‘unable to load’.

I know ISP’s only care about the money, rarely about the customer.

BUT, they are always nice when you want to make a new contract or extend the old one, then everything is so professionally handled.

If I don’t get my new internet next month, I’m gonna be so pissed, especially since I work from home every day, where I make money to pay for this lousy service.

I am sorry that you have experienced this kind of unsatisfactory support. 

I have to admit, that its sometimes difficult to get an english speaking person when calling our customer support hotline. 

Could you give us a brief update on the current situation ?
