Hi o2,

sorry my question is in english, my german is not the best.

We have the  O 2 DSL Classic M, and the 6641 Modem.

1- I would like to upgrade to the new XL package, 250mbit.

2- I am also not impressed with the performance of the 6641.

My contract will continue till August 2020, however i would like to know if i can upgrade early, effectively adding another 24months to the 8 remaining, also getting a newer modem, prefereably one that allows  PPPoE passthrough.

If this is not possiable please let me know and i can terminate the contract (of course paying the remaining months till the contract is over ), and moving to a new supplyer.

Thanks

Mr & Mrs Hambolu

A router/modem is not included in o2 my Home XL tariff and your o2 Homebox 6641 can not be used for o2 my Home XL. If you optionally want to rent a router from o2, for o2 my Home XL your only choice is the AVM Fritzbox 7590 (49,99 EUR+9,99 EUR shipping +5,99/month). As the o2 Homebox 6641, the AVM Fritzbox 7590 is designed as an IAD and can not purely be used as a modem. PPPoE passthrough is not possible, because only one PPPoE session is allowed and that is used by the Fritzbox. Please be also aware that all routers supplied by o2 support German language only.

You can buy and use a VDSL device of your own choice, provided that it corresponds to the current interface description (especially VDSL2 supervectoring profile 35b)

avm 7530 is about 110€ - (49,99 +9,99) is 50€ if you buy the 7530 yourself !

You can use Port forwarding instead of PPPoE pass through.

Hi Blablup, thanks for the fast response.

so I can upgrade now? is there a list of known working routers that can work as modem?

 Thanks

Hi @hambros,

thanks for your interest in an offer to prolong your DSL-contract for another 24 months.

As I see, you have already accepted a good offer. The tariff-change will take place on 4th February 2020.

Do you still have any questions concerning the router? As @blablup already informed you, you can use any router that supports vectoring.

If you like to get a router directly from o2, just let me know.

Loving greetings,

Tobias
