I want to update my surname in the profile section. How to do that?

You got married or why do you want to change your surname?


Hello @User1988,

for a change of your surname you can easily use our online portal. Logged in with your contract data (mobile or landline number) please use this link: www.o2.de/mein-profil/name.

As we need proof, you also have to upload a copy of your passport, id card or certificate of marriage.

Hi Thank you for the reply. I am not able to update the Surname through the link provided. There is no option to edit or update the name


If you want to change your personal data, you have to click on "Persönliche Daten" and then click on "Ändern" next to "Name" on the right. Please do not forget to upload your proof of marriage.

I am not able to see the edit option.


The contract is not active or you have not registered and logged in with the corresponding fixed network number.

this looks like your DSL has not been acitvated yet. Have you already received your activation date? As soon as your landline is active, you can use all the online services related to your contract and change your data.

If your activation date is in the future, please consider that mail and technician might look for your old name on the mailbox or door bell. So it might be a good idea to have it there as well.
