It sounds to me as if you have used o2 DSL in the past. Possibly there are still claims from this past contractual relationship.
For example, if you have not returned the router you received from o2, you will be charged its value as compensation.

Thanks for your comment. I was using o2 dsl in past but was never asked to return that router when the company deactivated my service. Anyway the main issue is that kundennummer mentioned in the mail does not belong to my previous subscription. Even no invoice was attached to the email.I cannot even login to my account as it as already deactivated a year ago.Not sure why i got the mail after 10 months.

All o2 routers are rental devices that remain the property of o2. Understandably, rented items must also be returned to the lessor - or do you simply keep a rental car? You were already informed about the obligation to return the equipment at the end of the contract when you ordered your o2 DSL connection.
In the year 2019 there was a technical changeover, where the old customer numbers (e.g. DE123456789) also changed.

Ok then atleast I expect a post mail or simply email rom O2 confirming this new change in customer number which i never received. That is why this customer number shown is unknown to me.Also not sure why the mail was send after 8 months of deactivating the service.I already moved out of Germany hence even cannot cross check with o2 customer care.

The new customer number was communicated to all customers with the first invoice after the changeover.

All existing customers were notified of the system changeover by letter in 2019.

Hay hay @ajeetcomplete,

welcome in our community!

I don´t have informations about the contract which you´re asking for. Please send us a pn to @o2_Support with

  • the customer number from the email and
  • your customer password of the contract.

After that we will have a look at your customer account.

But I think @blablup is right and it is the router you were charged for.

Kind regards,

Larissa

Hi Larissa,

The customer number mentioned in the mail is 6054XXX which I am not aware of. I disconnected my servcice around an year ago and now not present in Germany. At that time O2 customer confirmed that my service is disconnected and nothing is due. Also my online o2 account was deactivated and was not able to login.

Edit o2_Larissa: edit Customer number in this public community. Please be careful with personal data, even if that are not your personal informations

Larissa
